Locate research sources (including academic journal articles, magazine and newspaper articles) in the library’s databases or archives and on the Internet and evaluate them for credibility, accuracy, timeliness, and bias.

In Engl 11000, we did a lot of research in this class in relation to our works, especially the Argumentative Essay. We had to find evidence to support our stance and we were taught by Ms. Carmen Caruso and the librarian whom Professor Carr invited to the class to teach us the ropes on how to use the school’s library and database for our research.

At first, I only used nypl and google scholae but after being showed how to find and locate evidence, my work was made much easier. But then I could not find much related to my topic/stance for my Argumentative Essay.

The evidence I found helped me greatly to argue my stance and I would say, my sources were very reliable because they also had sources to back up their arguments. So that made my work a lot better.
